The Cincinnati Flower Show

Presented by Provident Bank

Celebrating 15 Years

Out of Africa

Cincinnati, OH (USA) - The Cincinnati Flower Show and St. Theresa’s Textile Trove in Over-the-Rhine are teaming up to bring African culture to visitors of the 15th Anniversary Cincinnati Flower Show presented by Provident Bank April 21-25, 2004 at historic Coney Island.

An African exhibit featuring authentic ceremonial apparel from West Africa is part of the International exhibit of the Amateur Flower Show showcasing everything from a dazzling Indian wedding dress to an authentic Japanese Tokonoma display. Each scene is complemented by vibrant floral arrangements.

"I’m excited about being involved with the Flower Show for the first time! Uniting the unique textures and hues from textiles with floral arrangements is such a natural combination," said St. Theresa’s Textile Trove owner, Becky Hancock.

Ms. Hancock’s store features a unique blend of exotic fabrics woven together with art and a strong social conscience. Aside from the incredible selection of fabrics the shop imports from around the world, they also offer classes, such as quilting, sewing, knitting and jewelry making, which are free for some Over-the-Rhine residents.
