Calling All Green Thumbs for Amateur Gardener Recognition

Cincinnati, Ohio (USA) - Are you the ‘gardening guru’ of your neighborhood? Is your neighbor a ‘plant diva’? Amateur gardeners are invited to vie for the distinction of having one of the best gardens in the city! Nominate a talented amateur gardener (even if it’s you!) for the 2004 Gardener Recognition Awards sponsored by the Cincinnati Horticultural Society, to be presented at the Cincinnati Flower & Farm Fest in October at historic Coney Island.

Exceptional gardens will be selected for recognition by a panel of judges representing the gardening industry. Winners receive a one-year membership to the Horticultural Society and an award recognizing their garden as one of the area’s finest. Gardens of all sizes are eligible: Small Space/City Garden, Medium (less than 1 acre), Large (1 acre or more) or Container Gardens. They should be meticulously maintained throughout the year and representative of gardening at its best.

Nominations are accepted on the Horticultural Society’s web site, www.cincyflowershow.com, or call 513-872-9555, ext. 15 to receive a nomination form or additional information. Please include ten (10) non-returnable photographs of the garden along with the nomination form to: Gardener Recognition, 3731 Eastern Hills Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45209 no later than June 30, 2004.
